Understanding Consent & Boundaries

At Bonkr, we believe that consent and respect are the foundations of any positive interaction. This guide will help you understand and practice enthusiastic consent in all your connections.

What is Consent?

Consent is a clear, enthusiastic 'yes' to any activity. It must be given freely, without pressure or coercion. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and a previous 'yes' doesn't mean consent to future activities.

Communicating Boundaries

Be clear about your own boundaries and respect others'. Before meeting, have an honest conversation about what you're comfortable with. It's okay to say no to anything that doesn't feel right.

Recognising Non-Consent

Silence is not consent. Neither is a 'maybe' or someone who seems hesitant. If you're unsure, ask directly. It's always better to check than to assume.

During Interactions

Continue checking in throughout any interaction. People can change their minds, and that's completely okay. Create an environment where both parties feel comfortable speaking up.

If Boundaries Are Crossed

If someone doesn't respect your boundaries, you have every right to end the interaction immediately. Report any violations to Bonkr - we take these matters seriously and will take appropriate action.

Creating a Culture of Respect

By practicing enthusiastic consent and respecting boundaries, we all contribute to making Bonkr a safer and more enjoyable platform for everyone in our community.
